We have been developing plasma spray coatings for medical application since 1992. We have a complete portfolio of coatings available for dental, spinal, trauma, and orthopedic applications, and have become recognized as a world leader in the biomedical thermal spray coating technologies.
Calcium phosphate or brushite can be electrochemically-deposited on the surface of medical implants or devices. We use a water-based dipping process that offers an effective solution for coating inside porous surfaces. This process also allows the inside of additively manufactured lattice structures to be coated, as well as hidden surfaces of complex shaped parts.
Physical vapor deposition (PVD) enables a complete, biocompatible, ceramic surface coating to be placed on metallic implant components. We offer two types of ceramic coating for implants: titanium niobium nitride (TiNbN) and titanium nitride (TiN).
