Objective
An AM Machine Operator position would include prep-work, grit blasting, finishing, equipment operation and perform duties assigned by the Production Manager.

Essential Functions

  1. Prep-work of parts
  2. Grit blasting of parts
  3. Finishing of parts
  4. Operate equipment after training
  5. Able to use PLC controlled equipment
  6. Continuously monitor equipment status and production output
  7. Perform standard maintenance activities equipment after training
  8. Keep the fixtures clean and ready to operate
  9. Assist and perform duties as assigned by Production Manager
  10. Use calibrated instruments to perform measurements after training
  11. Working in the Company’s Quality and Safety System context, in accordance with its procedures and requirements

Work Environment
This job operates in a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms.

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20lbs and occasionally lift and or move up to 50lbs.

The employee must have the ability to work in all the production areas.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position, at least 8 hours of work per day Monday thru Friday, some overtime as business needs change. Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends, if necessary.

Required Education and Experience

  1. High School Diploma
  2. Able to work in a fast paced environment.
  3. Detail oriented
  4. Must be able to plan, prioritize, and perform work in an efficient manner to meet schedules
  5. Willing to work flexible shifts, overtime, and weekends if necessary
  6. Able to move at least 50lbs
  7. Preferred CAD experience or similar computer program experience

Manufacturing Engineer |  Bartlett, TN, USA
Classification: Exempt

Objective: The Process and Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for ensuring the proper production, as far as technical aspects, cost, quality, time and accuracy, through the implementation of continuous improvement.

Essential Functions: The responsibilities of the Process Manufacturing Engineer include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Act as lead technical reference for customer and internal organization in the case of materials, coatings, and assembly application.
  • Read, analyze, and discuss customer required specifications managing all qualification kick- off meetings and put decisions into actions. Works to complete projects on time and within budget.
  • Knows elements of Methods-Time Measurement (MTM), analyze, assign controls, in agreement with production manager, times of each production step.
  • Develop coating/post-coating processes based on customer requirements, focusing mainly to create robotic programs, verify and interpret results in cooperation with the metallographic laboratory and the Technical Leader. Qualify new products/processes from kick-off to full release and continuously improve the existing ones.
  • Supports production cost quotation and related feasibility studies. Project leadership to continually decrease manufacturing costs.
  • Project leadership of coating/post-coating processes based on Customer requirements. Verify and interpret results in cooperation with Quality technician.
  • Prepare required customer documentation to qualify new products/processes from kick-off to full release. Continuously improve product / processes and utilize proper change management practices.
  • Provides constant support to production from an engineering standpoint in order to prevent and solve any issues to parts during the process flow.
  • Work closely with the customer for the development of the process flow in order to optimize the coating and post processing of the parts to meet the customer’s requirements saving time and cost.
  • Develop production costs quotation and related feasibility study. Project leadership to continually decrease manufacturing costs.
  • Determine and approve the process standards of a new component and provide customer products corresponding to the required quality specifications.
  • Develop, check, and improve component standards in order to promote actions for cost savings and process standard improvement.
  • Participate in Root Cause Corrective Action activities to permanently eliminate defects.
  • Adhere to the Company’s Quality and Safety Management System and in accordance with its procedures and requirements.
  • Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methods to improve Key Performance Indicators for Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.
  • Participate in Kaizen events, promote positive employee environment, and community involvement.
  • Develop the Engineering Team to match the needs of the Company
  • Keep abreast of key technical developments and innovations within the coating industry and encourage team members to do the same.
  • Coordinate, attend and lead team meetings

Supervisory Responsibility: No

Work Environment: This job operates in both an office environment and a manufacturing environment. The individual will be required to adhere to safety policies and procedures on the manufacturing floor.

Physical Demands: The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.

Travel: 25 – 30% domestic and international

Required Education and Experience: 

  • A Mechanical or Chemical Engineer 4-year college degree is required.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and experience interacting with all levels of customers, including technical managers.
  • Experience with ERP systems, including creation and management of bill of materials is required.
  • SAP experience required
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project.
  • Strong knowledge of both metric and US measurement systems.
  • Strong Project Management knowledge including product development
  • Proven project leadership experience in the Engineering field. Medical, Industrial gas turbine, aerospace industry strongly preferred.
